A little about me and how I ended up here
It started with friends. A few people who hated having their photo taken, who needed headshots and kept putting it off because every session they'd had before felt awkward and wooden. I picked up my camera, figured out how to make the whole thing feel less like a performance, and somewhere in that process realized I'd found the work I actually wanted to do.
These days I photograph small business owners, creatives, and teams who need images that are polished without feeling stiff. My approach is pretty straightforward: good light, a relaxed pace, and enough coaching through posing that you stop thinking about your hands. The dry humor helps. So does the coffee.
Most of my clients come in a little skeptical — they've had the stiff, over-posed session before and they're not excited to repeat it. What I hear afterward is that they were surprised by how calm it felt, and that for the first time they have photos that actually look like them. That's the part I care about most. Not just images you can use, but images you're glad to use.
