A little about me and how I ended up here
It started with friends. A few people who needed headshots, hated being photographed, and trusted me enough to show up anyway. Those sessions taught me more than any formal training — mostly that the camera isn't the hard part. Helping someone relax enough to forget it's there, that's the work.
These days I photograph small business owners, creatives, and teams who need brand images that are warm without being stiff, polished without feeling like a costume. My job on shoot day is equal parts technical and conversational. I'll tell you where to put your hands, and then I'll say something mildly ridiculous so you stop thinking about your hands. Good light does a lot, but a person who's actually at ease in front of the lens does more.
Most clients tell me afterward that the session felt calmer than they expected — and that the photos finally look like them, not a LinkedIn approximation of them. That's the part I keep coming back to. Not the technical execution, though I care about that too, but the moment someone sees an image and says yes, that's actually me.
